Communication on vehicle operation. Local staff were unsure on how operate some aspects of vehicle ie how to open and close rear hatch on Santa Cruze vehicle

Our flight got canceled out of Bangor and there were in fact no flights we could get out of Bangor. So our only option was to fly out of Portland. Alamo was going to charge an additional $700 a piece for us to drive there to drop off our 2 vehicles. This caused our group a big problem.

It was fine. What they should in the St John’s location is ask where you are going to go with the vehicle. Newfoundland has bad roads outside of the Trans Canada Highway and specifically north towards St. Anthony. Putting run flats on a Mercedes on roads with potholes large enough to swallow a truck is a bad idea but renting that car is likewise a liability. We ended with a total wheel failure and needed to get a new car, an SUV, for the duration of the trip. So asking would have been a good idea.

I was forced to upgrade and pay more just to get a vehicle that was allowed driving during my stay without restrictions due to the congestion restrictions. Either it was set up that way or Alamo has very limited selection of vehicles.

Reserved a car, but they didn't have a car, made us rearrange our whole schedule. You see, anyone can take a reservation, that's the easy part. It's the holding of the reservation that's the hard part. Seriously though, it did mess up our travel plans and we didn't get to go to Cologne.

You offered a price and at drop off I ended up paying way more for absolutely no reason.
